DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!Came here Sunday morning to get the flowers. There was not enough parking spaces first of all. Second, when i filled up my cart and standing in the line for 30min in 8 month pregnancy, I asked the manager to let me pass by the line since i wasnt feeling good outside. He said he cant help me and he just gave me a chair to sit next to my cart and continue waiting. I asked a lady in the line closer to the cash register if she would mind if i cut the line, she said she would, other people heard and disregarded me…. I live in Park Ridge and my whole back yard is filled with their flowers. Now they lost the customer for good!!!!!

Most people go here for plants and gardening tools, I like to visit their cute gift shop and live Christmas trees in the winter. The shop is always stocked with unique gifts, trinkets, seasonal items and décor pieces that are rarely found anywhere else. In the winter you can often find beautiful trees for sale. If you need something special this is definitely a great place to check out!

This place is a gem in our town for sure!I typically come here for unique plants because I know they have a selection like no other, but it's also a treat for me because you won't find a casual corporate sale like you might at the larger hardware stores nearby. But when it's worth it, it's worth it.They also have so much more than just plants. They have a beautiful selection of household items and gifts, PERFECT for any housewarming party, shower or wedding! I also love the idea of supporting local shops. Visit, especially in the summer!!!

1 star is too good for them.We had purchased plants and products before from the Des Plaines location, and were happy with the product and plants. So, when our neighbor, who works for a landscaping business, who was helping us do paver work suggested Lurvey's in Volo as a source we were more than happy to go there. Their reception was lukewarm at best. We chalked it up to a bad day or perhaps because it was close to closing time. In the process we were charged deposit fees for contractor bags (3 @18.99 ea.), and a pallet for the pavers (1 @ $22) along with delivery and forklift fees.So, when my partner called to say we needed more paver base, one business day after the original delivery, the person she spoke with said that unless she could supply the original order number they couldn't help her. As if in this day and age of technology you can't be found in someone's database by your name, or address, or telephone number (welcome to the stone age, pun intended). She was calling from work and didn't have it with her at that time. When we asked our installer if there was any other place they might suggest they gave her the name of a different supplier and they had paver base delivered 2 days later for 1/2 the cost.Upon completion, the person who did the work told us that when he ordered from Lurvey they came back and picked up the unused sand and base he had purchased and refunded part of his money. Today when she called Lurvey to say that we had material left over and to see if they would come get it and the items we were charged deposits for they said we'd have to pay all the delivery charges over again. So, basically what they called a "deposit" was actually a purchase in disguise, and we're stuck with a big bag of sand on a pallet blocking part of our driveway.Though we have additional work we will be doing next year, we will never, ever do business with this company again. I would highly recommend that you take your business elsewhere as well. Unless of course you like being treated like your money and business don't matter, then you'll get what you paid for!

Been getting our tree here for a few years now and love the selection. Always good looking trees, no duds to wade through. Service is easy and fast. Overall I think the value is in the way I can get in with the family, easily find a nice tree and I'm out again without any stress and drama.

Bait and Switch! When I called in, I was told they had 3 trees and decided to buy one. I live pretty far away and drove down to get the tree. I bought the tree and then told them that I will pick it up in a few days. I was then informed later that it was not the tree I was looking for. I asked them that I am willing to wait until the tree arrives as long as I get it as the sale price. They said they can't do. These guys are all about the money and zero on customer service. Tons of other landscape suppliers out there that provides better service and less about keeping an extra buck.

Be careful when purchasing plants will not stand behind quality. Once you leave the yard it's yours. The response from the owner does not sufficiently cover my situation. The plant in question upon receipt was not of good quality. Again be careful Lurvey landscape supply will not stand behind their quality.

Lurvey Landscape is very good, but a few years ago the directions on one of their patio sealers was totally wrong and I was really aggravated at the time. Never have the grout put on after the sealer! It will all come out! The directions on the can and from Lurvey are wrong when it comes to that.

Lurvey in Volo is for landscape contractors. I find the office staff very helpful, friendly and courteous. Those serving in the loading area just as helpful and professional as those in the office. In my opinion this location is the best in the north and northwest Chicago area.

Lurvey's has well cared for plants, and good variety. They submitted an invoice for specific plants and for installation which I accepted. What was not made clear to me was a couple of plants were not going to be available, ever, and (okay I didn't do the math) but I didn't realize they were not included in the final cost because they were listed on the invoice. When I finally figured this out, I asked to substitute some plants.....but never heard back with an additional invoice. The original plants have already been sent on to the installers, and had I known that a substitution was necessary I would have asked sooner. So I should be getting some of the plants I wanted, but I was made to feel as if it were my fault for not having the original plants available and for asking for a substitute. Moreover apparently the cost on original invoice was not accurate, in my favor, and also am being made to feel like I am at fault. I am now short 2 large shrubs. I realize it is a crazy year and much is out of the control of the garden centers, but how hard would it be to add a 'plant not available, not being priced in invoice, call asap for substitutes' to the invoice? That way it is clear that you need to make a decision quickly. So be aware if your invoice says 'plant not available until xyz date' you might want to pick something else...

This review reflects the customer service and not the actual products. I emailed the company for getting a quote and they responded within 24 hours, no problem there. In their reply, they mentioned that in order for me to reserve the plants , shrubs and trees I have to call the number included . I have called 6 times in different days and different times based on their opening hours. Needless to say that nobody picked up although the automated message kept repeating that I am number one in the call queue. " A team member will take your call shortly" - I am still waiting, sleeping with my phone next to me, on speaker.

Lurveys is a 5 star organization from the top down. I had low tire pressure on my truck after they loaded me topsoil and one of the yard guys noticed and offered to fill them up with their air compressor. Always very helpful and knowledgable employees that assist you with your lawn projects. They load your car as well to make it convenient. I also had stone delivered to our house when I had a larger order. The fees were reasonable too.

I was at Lurveys today and needed advice on plants. Kyle looked at the plants on my list and walked me around to see what was available and what would work in my space. He was patient and helpful and I left feeling I had exactly what I needed at a good price.

Yesterday, went to "Lurvey" to pick up my furniture but was treated like I was a "THIEF" by the employee "Peggy". I do not tolerate for being mistreated in any mean!!!

Ms. Peggy followed me around the shop pretending to sweep the floor from the houseplant area to the register. She even took a peak on the register monitor and write down my name while I was being checkout and walked away. I didn't like what I saw so I ask the cashier to call her back. I questioned her "why are you writing down my name?" She replies "I like to know my customer name". I say "then why didn’t you just ask me for my name? why acting so suspicious?" She walked away without giving me a reply.
What is her plan by writing down my full name? By knowing my full name, she can look into their system and know all my personal informations such as my address and phone number.

I am very upset about how she treated me yesterday. This type of customer service should not be taking place anywhere, especially not at "Lurey" a well-established garden center. This is very upsetting, disturbing and unprofessional. I feel unwelcome by being followed and being profiled as if I am here today with a bad intention.

I complained to the in-charge personnel, and he said he will notify his superior and HR. I asked him I would like to get a response from his superior concerning this incident. Let see how "Lurvey' management goes about handling this incident.

It all started when I asked "Peggy" if she could take down the "zic zac plant" for me to see. Up on the ladder, she was holding the hanging basket by the hook, not willing to hand it down for me to take a look. To clarify, the plant basket is above my eyes level and I couldn't really see the whole plant. I asked her can I hold it and she reply "no, you can see it like this". I was paranoid that she won't let me hold the plant and take a closer look. She finally let me "hold' the plant after I strongly insisted to see the plant. I decided I don't like it and gave it back to her and continue with my shopping. Then I noticed she was sweeping the floor following behind me wherever I go even to the register.

Come to think about it, last month I came to purchased the "$160 queen of the night". I ask "Peggy" if she could take down both plants for me to see it. While she was reaching for the first plant, she asked me whether I know that the plant cost $160.00 and if I still want to see them. I replied that I am aware of the price and would still like to see both plants. At that moment, I thought she was just surprised that the plant was pricy. Another incident is that after she handed me the plant; while I was still shopping for fertilizer and cactus soil, she came to me and asked for the plant back saying that she wants to hold on to the plant for me at the checkout register. I was ok that that because I don't want any flower to break off due to the tight aisle to maneuver around while I was shopping.

After yesterday incident, I came to realized that by implying on the high price tag before grabbing the plant for me to see, she probably was judging that I won't be buying the $160 plant and I was wasting her time. Also, by asking to take the plant back, she probably afraid that I might damage the plant since she didn't think that I'm going to buy it. Even worse, she probably believe that I was planting to steal the whole plant or pieces of the plant. Who knows what is her real intension by doing what she was doing on both incident that day. That is her side of the story to explain.
Overall, I am very upset about how she treated me on both days.

Lurvey's is a great destination home and garden center. They have great displays that showcase everything from indoor and outdoor furniture, home and gift items, garden supplies, houseplants, annuals and edibles, perennials. vines roses and shrub, trees, aquatics, fire pits and grills, pottery and containers, fountains and statues, pavers and stone plus more. Oh yeah......they always have something fun or educational going on. Especially on the weekends. Check out all of their major events. They give away and raffle off top notch prizes and gifts. You can't beat their customer service. ❤☺❤☺

Love Lurvey's! Great quality of plants with an awesome selection of new and fully grown. Perfect size shop with excellent customer service and response to customers. Great place with a lot of unique holiday things. Went and saw Santa very civilized and fun. Beautiful place to take the holiday family photo, they were singing and had free coffee and hot chocolate.Very nice.
