Systemic pesticides – Insecticides that are absorbed into the plant tissues and translocated throughout the entire plant. Repels or kills insects that feed upon the plants.

Contact pesticides -Insecticides that must directly contact the insects to be effective. Insects must be present. Will not be absorbed into the plant or plant tissues.

Organic insecticides are natural carbon based insecticides that are not produced synthetically. Most are derived from natural materials and are less toxic.
