Love this place! Great selection of plants and flowers and their indoor area is beautiful. The help is top notch. My only complaint is the loud rock music. Takes away from the otherwise enjoyable experience.

Lurvey's is fantastic and is super efficiently run given the volume of business. So far our sod is doing well. You can really tell the freshness of Lurvey's sod compared to the chain stores.

I was here last week, for the first time. OMGEE, what a great nursery. Great outdoor plants but then I went into the covered (roof) part of store with gift selections, indoor plants and pots. Unbelievable selection!! There were plants I have never seen, like a succulent from the Philippines with a pink “flower”. The girl watering them gave me the name but I don’t remember. AND a Mermaid Tail cactus/succulent. So pretty.Denise was very sweet and helpful, presented us with a coupon b/c it was our first visit. It’s a 30 min. ride to get there but I’ll be back at least 2-3 more times next month. Just visit this place, you be so happy!

How great is it that Lurvey’s has a charitable program where they donate 10% of all the sales from the organization’s members on a certain day.We bought lots of plants and made a contribution to the Norwood Park Historical Society at the same time. Love it.

The center was huge, I will return possibly. Only downfall is they don't have a warranty on theirs plants. Meaning if they are effected or have diseases you can't return. Only warranty is trees and shrubs. Maybe only the home centers do returns

Went in looking for a particularly hard to find ground cover. I was helped by a friendly and knowledgeable gentleman. Very happy to have found it. I also purchased sod from Lurvey’s last year. Sod was healthy and took right away grass looks great. Have never been disappointed purchasing from Lurvey.

If you've moved here from the Kansas City area as we have, this is Suburban Home and Garden, maybe even a wee bit better. I came for the Proven Winners and stayed for the planters mix. Worth the drive.

The plants are all so healthy and well-cared for, the hardscape/landscaping product choices are beyond plentiful, and the garden shop is fully-stocked with tons of beautiful and tasteful items. All that plus the staff is very friendly and helpful. I have had numerous great experiences at Lurvey, high recommend.

Within the cozy confines of this store, you may find yourself doing 2 laps looking at the same products just because. The staff seemed happy to be there and can help you find potting soil to paver for your driveway. Parking can be difficult, so have patience.

Since Lurvey's opened in Des Plaines it is and will always remain my go to place for Gardening and Landscape supplies. The selection for annuals, perennials, scrubs, trees, hardscape, landscape, planters, fountains, pond materials, etc. are top notch. Also the trained staff make every trip and inquiry about our garden very helpful. Never disappointed and highly recommend!

I found out about Lurvey's a year ago when I won a raffle gift from there. The staff is very helpful and the greenhouse is top notch. All the plants are so healthy and beautiful. I often go here to just look around their store and I always walk out with something! It's worth the trip, check it out...

This garden center is lovely. I've been coming here for years (I live about an hour away, but stumbled upon this place due to work travel years ago...been making the yearly trek ever since!).

They must've renovated the inside recently because it's huge & has so much more to offer!
For example, there's a coffee station for customers.
They also have unique gifts for anyone on your list (pet lovers, gardeners, wedding showers, newlyweds, housewarming, the list goes on...)

They have fairy gardens, terrariums, koi ponds...and did I mention the gorgeous array of flowers & plants?!?

Lurveys is my go-to place for spikes (never seen any as tall as theirs). Their flowers are well-loved and tended to so they can be transferred right into your garden!

The staff is... plentiful & helpful too.

I'm pretty honest when it comes to my opinions, so I'm going to be honest with this last item as well. Lurveys is the type of place that you get what you pay for. If you covet unique, high-quality products for your home or garden (or for fun gifts), then be prepared to spend that little extra. But, the items are top notch & I've never had a problem with anything I've purchased there through the years (there are exchange/returns, if needed though).
Did I mention they have a complimentary loyalty program as well?! ($$ spent turns into $$ off).
