At the end of a long day don’t you just love when your paw-fect pup greets you at the door?

Unfortunately, not all dogs live in the best situation and many are in need of rescuing.  That is why we chose to partner with Wright-Way Rescue in Morton Grove this summer.  Our hope was to build awareness of the animals at this local rescue and get them the help they deserve…whether it be via funding for the shelter, supplies, or adoption.

Our initiative was multi-faceted.  For supplies, we worked with Bentley’s of Glenview (Shop HERE).  We also had a barrel in our showroom where customers could donate new or gently used items, food, and pet treats. Our customers could also choose to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar at our registers or make monetary donations online.

To close out the two-month endeavor, on July 27th we hosted an off-site PUPS ON PARADE adoption event in our covered shopping space. Those interested in adopting could meet, play, choose a new love and give some furry friends a new forever home.   Twenty-five dogs were available and we are proud to say that from this event there were 5 successful adoptions.

At the completion of the partnership, Lurvey was pleased to present Wright-Way’s volunteer staff with a check for $1000.00.
