Lurvey’s Variety of Dogwood Shrubs

Lurvey’s Variety of Dogwood Shrubs

Spring is the time to refresh your landscape and maybe add a unique element that you haven’t before. At Lurvey Home and Garden, we provide various options of dogwood shrubs that would add a refreshing texture and life to your outdoor living space. Here are some of our favorites:

Bud’s Yellow Twig

Bud’s Yellow dogwood shrubs have an eye-catching bright yellow twig color. Like all dogwood shrubs, Bud’s Yellow holds its stem color throughout the winter, showing the most vibrant yellow in the last winter months. This unique shrub’s size and color make it a great addition to any well-landscaped outdoor living space.

Bailey Red Twig

This type of dogwood shrub can grow up to 8 feet tall, and with its vibrant red stem color, it adds a unique aesthetic to any landscape. This shrub does require a little maintenance year after year. The stem color is more vibrant on younger growth, so a bit of rejuvenation pruning may be required every so often to keep the shrub looking its best.

Ivory Halo

The Ivory Halo dogwood is very similar to the Bailey Red Twig, but the Ivory Halo grows quite a bit shorter. In addition to its shorter size, this variety has variegated white and green leaves that add texture throughout the growing season for a beautiful finish.

Cardinal

The Cardinal variety of dogwood is unique in that it looks like a mixture of Bud’s Yellow and Bailey Red Twig. With its stems showing a yellow base that gradually grows into red tips, the Cardinal dogwood shrub is a visually dynamic plant that can add pleasing pops of color to any outdoor living space.

This is the time of year to think about the vision for your landscape and consider trying something new. Dogwood shrubs are a great accent, and we stock some great options so you can get the most out of your outdoor living space. Find these and many other options at Lurvey Home and Garden.
